Der Krieg Gottes

I just finished Kameron Hurley's "God's War". I could talk about the fascinating world. Or how she convincingly creates a matriarchy (which is very difficult to do -- essentially all the men are sent to war so there simply aren't any 18-to-45-year-old men around). But I won't. Instead I'm a-gonna talk about the art on the cover.
The art on the cover is great.
OK. Now that I'm done with that...
I got Day 2 out to the lab today. Hopefully that will all go without a hitch. One day, in the distant future, buyers will accept hard drives instead of (egads!) DigiBeta tapes.

Huh? That future is here, man. I just delivered my latest flick on a Firewire 800 hard drive...

And you know, once I do it, all the cool kids follow!

You deliver on a hard drive for domestic or overseas? Because I can sometimes convince our North American distributor to take a hard drive...

North American. Foreign sales pretty much don't exist for me anymore. I didn't even do an M&E track on my newest movie--saved a LOT of foley time and effort, AND I don't have to foot the bill for a PAL master...

I have the opposite problem. North American sales pretty much don't exist for me anymore.
They didn't make you do an M&E in case of a Spanish TV sale?
Who is your North American distributor?

No. I think we made it pretty clear if they wanted to sell foreign it would need to be subtitled.

I cannot name them right now since technically they won't have the license for about 18 months(it plays on VOD for about a year first)...but its initials are either AB, LGF, or WB. (if that helps :)

Damn! I'd be thrilled to get a deal with ANY of those initials... er, distributors.

I keep thinking how "IFC" should stand for "Innit For the Cash".

Really it should be IYAPYBNB IFC for "If You're a Producer You Better Not Be Innit For the Cash."

Yeah, Kangas is the king around here. His movies have made millions.
