Celtx vs You

John J. Bruno does not like Celtx.
I'll tell ya, Celtx does not revision the way normal-budget movies want to be revisioned.
But we've managed to use it to schedule a couple features now. Note that the scheduling it does only works for us. A real AD would be driven insane by the limitations. I'm just happy it'll make call sheets. It doesn't do an awesome job with call sheets but it does an okay one.

LOL. Yeah, you can say that is true. As I mentioned, being a free program, I can definitely see how it does some good things for others - glad it works for you folks. Just not great for the type of things we were looking to do.

If more than one person is in charge of scheduling then Celtx will be a nightmare. There's a reason everyone goes from Final Draft through Movie Magic on pictures with budgets that can have a dedicated AD and line producer etc.
But if you're working with a crew of about 3 and doing all the scheduling yourself, it CAN work. As long as you don't need to add "A" pages.
