Dig! ;-)
It's all about the DM&E's!
:-)Andrew Bellwarehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05718623679244389126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784279851937190132.post-89828580686893021802012-02-17T22:43:14.923-05:002012-02-17T22:43:14.923-05:00Lotsa ways to skin a cat, Andrew:). A guy I worked with who is a DP and does post (as well as other things) has this perspective. http://indiekicker.reelgrok.com/?p=109JB Brunohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04258303283672775536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784279851937190132.post-11343920519153104612012-02-17T18:55:47.724-05:002012-02-17T18:55:47.724-05:00Hoo! I'll go ahead and say it -- post-production is more important than production! ;-)
Of course, I'm the one who just got my M&E's kicked back at me. ;-PAndrew Bellwarehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05718623679244389126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-784279851937190132.post-87681899736164895572012-02-17T13:11:49.948-05:002012-02-17T13:11:49.948-05:00First time on blog - some good advice. For sci-fi, your description of production as advanced pre-pro may be closer to correct, but I think it has some truth, though it misleads a bit. I usually tell directors that the movie is made three times; once, when it is written, second time, when it is shot, third time, when it's edited. We're close to saying the same thing, but some might misinterpret your comment as suggesting that production is less important than post, which would be misleading and bad advice.JB Brunohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04258303283672775536noreply@blogger.com
